Instant booking
They don’t want a calendar. They want someone out there ASAP.
When a customer’s water heater is leaking, they don’t browse dates — they take the first opening. Instant booking shows one list of your team’s soonest available times, merged across every rep. They tap a slot; Cartoply assigns whoever’s free.
- One list: “Today 2:00 PM, Today 4:30 PM, Tomorrow 9:00 AM…”
- Times merged across your whole team — earliest openings surface first
- Rep assigned automatically: available first, rotated fairly on ties
- Works with territory routing — soonest times in the customer’s area
The fastest path from “I have a problem” to a confirmed appointment on the right tech’s calendar.
Fewer clicks, more bookings
Calendar-first flows make urgent customers hunt for a date they don’t care about. A flat next-available list removes the thinking — and abandoned bookings with it.
Your whole team’s speed, one page
If Betty is free at 10 and Billy at noon, the customer sees 10 AM first. Whoever books it goes to a rep who is genuinely free at that moment — never double-booked.
A/B test it against your calendar
Not sure it fits your customers? Run Cartoply’s built-in split test: half your visitors see the calendar, half the instant list, and the dashboard shows which converts better.
How it works
Flip one switch
On any event type, set slot display to “Instant.” Everything else — questions, payments, reminders — stays the same.
Customer grabs a time
They see the soonest open slots grouped by day, pick one, and fill in their details.
The right rep gets it
Cartoply assigns a rep who is free at that exact time (covering their area, if territory routing is on), rotating fairly.
Frequently asked questions
What if the customer does want to pick a date?
Keep calendar mode on those event types — instant booking is per event type. Or A/B test both and let your conversion data decide.
How is the rep chosen?
Only reps actually free at the chosen time are considered; among them, whoever was assigned a booking least recently gets it. Ties are broken randomly.
Does it respect buffers and notice rules?
Yes — minimum notice, drive-time buffers, daily caps, and booking windows all apply. “Soonest” never means “impossible to make.”
Can guests see who they’re booked with?
The times list is anonymous by design (it’s a team page, not a person’s). The confirmation shows the assigned rep’s name and photo.
